Day6 (Korean: 데이식스) are a South Korean pop rock band under the label JYP Entertainment. The group debuted on September 7, 2015, with the EP The Day. The band consists of four members: Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon. Originally a six-member band, Junhyeok departed on February 27, 2016, and Jae departed on December 31, 2021. All of the Day6 members are heavily involved in writing, composing, and producing the band's music.
Unlike K-Pop contemporaries who focus on hard-hitting beats and hip-hop influenced anthems, boy band Day6 are known for their bright pop sounds bolstered by sweeping rock power and heartfelt lyrics. The group have issued several Korean and U.S. Top Ten Releases with many of their songs known today as renowned K-Pop classics. They also focus on Japan, having made their debut there in 2018 with the album Unlock.
